Citipointe's March exam is later than most Brisbane scholarship tests, which mostly fall in February. That gives families a little more preparation time, and a chance to sit Citipointe after other schools' tests.
Which test does Citipointe use?
Citipointe uses EduTest, focused on English and mathematics. Check the format with the college when you register, as the standard EduTest also includes verbal and numerical reasoning.
EduTest has five sections: verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, reading comprehension and mathematics (30 minutes each, multiple choice), plus a 15-minute written expression task with no separate planning time. Results are compared with students in the same year level nationally.
You register through the EduTest link on the school's website. Use the same email address for every EduTest registration, so results can be matched and, where schools take part, transferred between schools in the same testing cycle.

What else counts
- EduTest results in English and mathematics
- Strong academic potential
How to prepare
- Start about three months out. For a February test, that means November.
- Sit one full timed practice test in the right format to find the weakest section.
- Practise writing under time, with feedback on one thing at a time. Writing is the section families find hardest to judge at home.
- Build reading stamina with a mix of fiction, non-fiction and poetry, and talk about what writers imply, not just what happens.
- Keep the last week light. Familiarity and rest matter more than cramming.
Practice for the EduTest scholarship test
Our EduTest-format mock exams cover all five sections under timed conditions, with worked explanations, a skill breakdown and written expression marked by a human teacher.
These are independent practice materials, not official test papers, and they don't predict scholarship outcomes.
