Prince of Peace Lutheran College scholarships: the EduTest exam and how it works

Quick answer: Prince of Peace Lutheran College in Brisbane's north offers Academic Scholarships for students entering Years 7, 9 or 11, each lasting two years. Applicants sit an EduTest exam at the Senior Campus in Everton Hills. The last round's exam was on Saturday 28 March 2026, with registration ($100) closing on 6 March.

Prince of Peace Lutheran College at a glance

Prince of Peace's two-year awards are unusual: Year 7 and Year 9 holders can reapply in Year 9 or Year 11. No 100% scholarships are given, and the college may consider a family's financial situation if flagged on the application.

Which test does Prince of Peace use?

Prince of Peace uses EduTest: four 30-minute multiple-choice tests (verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, reading comprehension and maths) and a 15-minute creative writing task, all on paper.

EduTest has five sections: verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, reading comprehension and mathematics (30 minutes each, multiple choice), plus a 15-minute written expression task with no separate planning time. Results are compared with students in the same year level nationally.

You register through the EduTest link on the school's website. Use the same email address for every EduTest registration, so results can be matched and, where schools take part, transferred between schools in the same testing cycle.

Key dates for 2028 entry

Dates change each year and schools sometimes switch providers, so always confirm on Prince of Peace's scholarship page before you register.

What else counts

• EduTest results (the main basis for awards)
• Current school reports and a high level of achievement across English, maths, science and humanities
• An interview with the Head of College or Head of Campus if shortlisted
• A college online application ($110) for new students

How to prepare

• Start about three months out. For a February test, that means November.
• Sit one full timed practice test in the right format to find the weakest section.
• Practise writing under time, with feedback on one thing at a time. Writing is the section families find hardest to judge at home.
• Build reading stamina with a mix of fiction, non-fiction and poetry, and talk about what writers imply, not just what happens.
• Keep the last week light. Familiarity and rest matter more than cramming.

Practice for the EduTest scholarship test

Our EduTest-format mock exams cover all five sections under timed conditions, with worked explanations, a skill breakdown and written expression marked by a human teacher.

These are independent practice materials, not official test papers, and they don't predict scholarship outcomes.
